Charge 2 Heart Rate Accuracy

Hey all,

I've been noticing something weird with my Charge 2. Obviously it is a few years old, but it seems the heart rate monitor might be on the fritz. Sometimes, for no reason, it will show that my heart rate is in the 150's, even when I'm just sitting at my desk working. To further prove there is something wrong with it, today I was at the doctor's office and they took my vitals. My heart rate was 74. My Fitbit said it was 161. And yet moments earlier, when we first walked in the office my heart rate was 88, walking from the car to the office. My normal resting heart rate is 52.

So is this an indication that my Fitbit Charge 2 is dying a slow death and should be replaced?

Happy health to you all.

Ted

Yup. Time for a new one. My charge 3 started doing this and the screen was also going dark where I couldn’t see half of it. I upgraded to the charge 5 in November and I absolutely love it! The display is amazing.
