I got a Charge 2 from my grandma and can't seem to get it to sync to my new account.. We removed it from hers and deleted her account, but the setup does not seem to work.

As well as removing it from her account, did you also check the bluetooth settings on her phone? If there's still a link to the fitbit there then it may be blocking connection to your phone.
