Twice in the past two weeks my Charge 2 has been correctly tracking active minutes but not exercise. For example I walked for approximately 45 minutes and the activity minutes are 52 with a good 30 minute continuous span but the app and the web application show no exercise. The last time this happened a hard reset of my tracker solved the problem but I don’t want to keep resetting and losing the exercise on the day it decides to quit tracking. So is this a software issue or do I need to toss my tracker because it’s extremely frustrating.

Auto recognize - but I have had my charge 2 for about two years and this has only become an issue in the past two weeks

Have you tried restarting the tracker yet?
Checked your auto exercise settings to see if they maybe have changed?

Auto exercise settings have not changed. If I force quit my tracker it will fix the problem temporarily but after a few days the same thing happens.

And now it has stopped tracking exercise right in the middle of a workout. Does anyone have any input on this - is it because the tracker is old, is there a software bug?

Was this a manually started exercise or an auto detected exercise? Did you take a break during the workout. What type of workout? Was the same exercise done throughout the workout? Or where several different types of exercises done?
Where you wearing a long sleeve shirt or Jacket. Many have reported that long sleeves have accidently turned of the exercise.

Auto detected, no break, walked at a brisk pace for 39 minutes, short sleeves scrub shirt.

I am having simiar problems, exercise steps not being counted. I ran over 7000 steps and it had logged my run but when I got home my step count went down to just over 2000 steps then reduced to 1707. My steps throughout the rest of the day were then added to this total. My Activity history shows I had run 8497 steps but my dashboard does not show any exercise and a total of 6976 steps only. Totally confusing.
