I haven’t charge my Charge 3 for a few months and now it won’t charge at all. Is the batter totally dead and I have to get a new one?

Hello @Smurfs, welcome to the community forums!

There are some factors that could prevent your Charge 3 from charging. Dust and debris can accumulate over time and since you weren't using it for some months, then it could apply. For more information, I suggest you to follow the steps in the following help article:

Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging?

You will also find instructions about how to clean the device.

Hope this helps!

I’m sorry I guess my device is more ancient. It is a charge 2. I tried cleaning it, but I still can’t get it to turn on. The green light on the back is on and the device vibrates when I hold the button down, but the screen doesn’t come on and show me it is charging. I have left it for hours thinking it was just so dead it didn’t have juice to turn the screen on right away, but no luck.

I haven’t worn my Charge 2 in months and now it is dead. It won’t charge or the screen won’t turn on. I’m not sure which one is the problem. I have cleaned both the device and the charger. The green light on the bottom of the device is on and if I hold the side button it vibrates, bur nothing comes on the screen. I have left it charging for a few hours and nothing. Is it just completely dead and I need to bug a new one?
