Hi everyone,
I’ve got an issue with my Charge 2’s contract points. After about 18 months with this tracker, they’ve broken down to the point where only one of the three looks even slightly normal.
For the last 3 months or so, the device has also had trouble holding a charge. I’ve cleaned the contact points, but it seems the two issues are related as they began to both get exponentially worse at the same time.
As the points degrade, the battery has taken to saying it’s fully charged by 7am, while dropping to anywhere from 21-48% every single day by 4pm with a somewhat sedentary job. If I reset it while charging, the battery often shows that it’s actually much lower than what my Charge 2 displayed. It just doesn’t seem to be charging properly thanks to the corroded contact points...
Can I repair these myself, and how if so?
It’s not in warranty anymore, so I’m not sure what else I can do. Please advise!
