Charge 2 constantly loses Bluetooth

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have done everything that has been suggested and my charge 2 loses its Bluetooth connection almost everyday. To say the least I am tired of restart, reset and repair. Any one else having this problem or is it just time to give up. This has been going on for a month at least.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @SunsetRunner. I appreciate your participation in the Forums and for sharing your experience with us. Please note that Fitbit devices do not sync nor pair directly through the Bluetooth settings on your phone but through the Fitbit app.

I would like to suggest you to try the following:

  • Make sure the latest version of the Fitbit app is installed on your phone.
  • The software on your mobile device is up to date. To check, tap Settings > General > Software Update.
  • Make sure there are no other Bluetooth devices around as they might interfere with the syncing process
  • Check that your Fitbit device's battery isn't critically low.

If your device still won't sync, try these steps:

  1. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  2. Go to Settings > Bluetooth and turn Bluetooth off and back on.
  3. Open the Fitbit app.
  4. If your Fitbit device didn't sync, restart your phone again.
  5. Open the Fitbit app.
  6. If your Fitbit device didn't sync, restart it one more time.
  7. If your Fitbit device won't sync after the restart, log in to your Fitbit account on a different phone, tablet, or computer and try to sync.
  8. If your Fitbit device still doesn’t sync, remove all other Fitbit devices from your account and from the list of connected Bluetooth devices on your mobile device and try to sync.

I hope this can be helpful.

I don't have a problem syncing my charge 2.  My problem is that I have to sync multiple times during the day as it keeps losing the blue tooth connection for no apparent reason. I only have one charge.

Thanks for getting back to us and for the clarification @SunsetRunner.

Please try removing the Bluetooth connection between your phone and your Fitbit device:

*On your phone, tap Settings Bluetooth > the information icon next to the name of your Fitbit device > Forget This Device.
*Open the Fitbit app and set up the connection again. You should receive a message asking you to allow your Fitbit device to pair with your phone. Tap Pair to approve the request.

Went to bed last night and had to pair the device again and got up this morning and had to pair it again so yes I have done the above directions numerous times.
