I love my Charge 2 but can no longer use it in the pool. (It was after-market water proofed but now has a cracked face.) I'm looking for replacement recommendations please.
I am old and dealing with intense back issues and never cared about most of the extra data available. In fact, at the moment I'd like only: steps, active minutes, and the ability to add my P.T. That's it. Some of my walking is in the pool so would like waterproofing. Maybe I'll get back to swimming, but that's doubtful.
I would hate to have a watch that records extra stuff even if I try to turn it off, and I certainly don't want one that will alert me to "messages". And while I'm saying what I don't want, I hate my Inspire 2 as it has been stuck in "lock" for years.
I hope I haven't gotten so picky that no one will want to give an opinion! Thank you in advance. Linda

If your problem with Inspire 2 is that it is locked, your best bet is to tell us more about that so we can tell you how to unlock it.
Another thought is maybe you want the Ace 3. It is designed for kids under 13 with childish clock faces, and I'm not even sure it can even be set up by adults, but it lacks some of the features that you are determined to avoid. I think all of the other Fitbit models do have these features, and it would be up to you to make sure they were turned off, the same as it was with the Charge 2. These features must also available on Charge 2 but you must have them turned off there.

Well, I tried and tried on this forum to get an answer on the locked Inspire 2, maybe for a year or so. Nothing worked, and it's still sitting in its box in the closet. Are you suggesting I try again because folks know more now?
It's true that I am relentless about turning off unneeded functions, so maybe just any old replacement watch would do. Is there any way to tell if any candidate watches have built in functions that override my preferred settings?
Thank you.

Okay, JohnnyRow, thank you for inspiration! I just tried charging the dear old Inspire 2 and it's giving good signs of life. Including saying it's not water locked!!! We'll see, of course.
So, now I find that I can't pair both my Charge 2 and Inspire 2 at the same time. i think it might be worth it to me to pair and unpair each device in turn, as so far my PT only "allows" me to walk in the water for 10 minutes, twice a week. Who knows, I might just eventually migrate to the Inspire 2 altogether. But, here's the question please: Is this feasible? Once I pair the Inspire 2 as a test, will I lost the ability to get back to the Charge if needed?
Thank you for your help, Linda
