Charge 2 display not working

My charge2 display suddenly went black couple of days ago. At first I thought it was because of low charge, so i put it on charge and realised that the screen still is all.black. I checked the app and noticed that all the trackers were fine , charging & syncing as well and the update was up to date.

 

if I press the single button white dotted lines appear on the screen.  My son is very disappointed as this Fitbit keeps him fit and doing his steps

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for trying some troubleshooting steps before posting over here. To fix the display issue your son is currently experiencing, please follow the next steps to restart the Charge 2:

 

  1. Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Clip the other end of the charging cable to the port on the back of the tracker. The pins on the charging cable must lock securely with the port.
  3. Make sure the button on your tracker is aligned with the button opening on the charging cable. You’ll know the connection is secure when the tracker vibrates and you see a battery icon on your tracker’s display.
  4. Press and hold the button to restart your tracker:
    1. Charge 2—press and hold the button on your tracker for 4 seconds. When you see the Fitbit logo and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted.
  5. Disconnect your tracker from the charging cable.
