Charge 2 erroneously counted 30k steps

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My charge two added 32k steps while I was eating breakfast! No reasons. Doesn't show up on my exercise for the day but I can't delete the steps. Very bizarre.

Anyone else seen this?

How do I get rid of it?

Hi @Weehels, welcome to the Community Forums!

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for the details that were shared, seems odd that your Charge 2 tracked so many steps while you were eating your breakfast. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know if this is the first time you experience such issue or this also occurred in the past? Only steps were erroneously tracked? In the meantime I receive your answers, please restart your Charge 2 and delete the steps with the information that's specified on our help article: How do I add, edit, or delete Fitbit data and activities?

Looking forward to your reply. Let me know if you have any additional questions.

Hi,

It didn't resolve it.

I restarted and updated the app in playstore.

I can't delete the steps because they don't show up in my exercise for the day, only in the step counter. The counter thinks I did all 30k steps in about 15 minutes. It also added the calories for that day.

I can send you a picture of the steps for that day. It is a straight line up.

Thanks for your reply @Weehels.

I appreciate the details that were shared with me. To delete the steps that were erroneously added you just need to log a non-step-based activity such as driving to override them. This information is in the help article that was shared on my previous post, however, you can find the steps to add the non-step-based activity below:
