Since the update about a month or two ago I can not get my charge 3 to connect to GPS unless i leave my phone unlocked. As soon as my phone goes to sleep mode I lose the GPS connection on the fitbit. I have checked all permissions are on and it's approved to run in background. Has anyone else had this issue? My Samsung had an update around the same time so I'm not sure if the fitbit or the phone is the issue.
I have:
uninstalled and reinstalled the app
Unpaid and pair the the fit bit to Bluetooth
Restarted the fit bit itself
Thank you

It sounds like the Fitbit app hasn't had power management disabled, or maybe the Fitbit app was not moved to the background before the screen locked.
Try restarting the phone, the gps should connect long before the phone is usable. If it does, then the app was most likely not running in background.
Check the power management if the GPS doesn't connect with a p ho one restart.
What should I know about using the Fitbit app on my Android phone?
BTW the user is unable to pair a tracker to the phones bluetooth, this is a job fir the Fitbit app.

Bluetooth is working. I have checked that the app has a permissions including running in background and not on battery optimization mode

Hello!
It seems to have been a setting with my phones battery saver. I switched it to the lowest setting, I believe it was called optimal . I think I when my phone had an update it got switched to a setting that blocked several background apps to save on battery life.
Hope this helps..
