Hi @Reshape!  It’s nice to see you around!

I'm sorry to hear that your Charge 2 has an incorrect hour and date.

The best way to keep your time and date correct is by regularly syncing with your app. Is your Charge 2 syncing frequently? Additionally, check that the location and time zone on your phone and in your app are correct.

  1. Go to your mobile app.
  2. Tap the gear icon in the top right corner.
  3. Swipe to "App Settings"
  4. Tap “date, hour and units”
  5. Choose "time zone"
  6. Verify if your timezone is correct.
  7. If it is correct but the hour is wrong please turn off the automatic time zone
  8. Under "Select time zone" look for your country's time zone.
  9. Sync your watch and the app.

@MaCrisGBFitbit  thank you for your reply.

I have done all of the above but it's still not working. I haven't  worn my watch today but my app says I have done 2' 563 steps today but my watch says I've done 0. Do you think it's give up the ghost and it's time to purchase a new one.

Hi @Reshape!  Thanks for your reply and the screenshots.

The extra steps may be due to having Mobile Track linked to your app; this means that when you walk with your mobile phone, it will record the steps even when you don't have the watch on.

If you do not want to have this option, you can remove it by following the steps below:

  1. Go to your app
  2. Tap the icon in the top left corner (it has a small phone and a clock)
  3. Tap where it says Phone
  4. Remove the phone from your app connections.

Regarding the incorrect time, you can change the time zone or country by following the steps I sent you before: choose any country and sync, then reselect your time zone and sync with the app.

@MaCrisGBFitbit I have followed your instructions and my watch still has the incorrect time and date.

When I choose another country and sync my app, am I right in  assuming that the time should change on my tracker?

Thanks for your cooperation following the steps @Reshape.

It is correct that when you sync with a different time zone, the time on your Fitbit will change, and then when you select your country again, it will change again.

If the time is still incorrect, please set up as new your Charge 2:

  1. Open the Fitbit app.
  2. Tap the account icon in the top left corner.
  3. Choose “Add more devices.”
  4. Select the picture of your Charge 2.
  5. A message will appear that says “replace your Charge 2,” tap OK.
  6. Follow the on-screen instructions to continue.
