Charge 2 missing steps after syncing

I haven't worn my fitbit since December 18th I think. Started wearing it again on Monday, 2/20. I got about 3500 steps on Monday, and it syncs fine but the step count is 0. Tuesday, I got several thousand throughout the work day but when I got home I noticed the step count was only a few hundred. I synced and saw the several thousand I had earlier did not come back. It's only 8 months old if that matters.

I'm going to try restarting it tonight while plugged in as per advise I've seen on a few other threads, but just wanted to know if this was a common problem and if it was more complicated than that. Thanks!

@KevinR0890  Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here! Sorry to hear about your missing steps. Check if you haven't logged any activities for the affected dates and also see if you have any third party apps linked to your Fitbit account and these two could be the reason your steps are decreasing. In both cases there can be logged activities that will overwrite the data from your tracker.

Let me know how it goes!
