It is currently 2:30 am and my Fitbit woke me up by rhythmically toggling between notifications on and off repeatedly. I’ve been perusing the topics and nothing has helped. While on the charger, it looks like it is charging and it does not vibrate. Some things I have tried:
1. Restarting the Fitbit by holding down the button while it’s on the charger and seeing the version.
result: when I take it off, the battery sign stays lit. If I hold the button down, it resumes toggling between notifications on and off. I currently have it on the battery sign. It will die soon probably.
2. Turning off Bluetooth, restarting my phone (iPhone 8), restarting the phone, going to the Fitbit app and turning off notifications, turning on Bluetooth, and restarting the Fitbit.
Result: same thing as stated above.
3. Cleaning. I did play sand volleyball tonight and maybe sand got in there but there’s no way to clean it. But when I hold the button down, it shows the normal face and does not vibrate, but the second I let go, it resumes.
This is is very annoying for 2:30 am.
I haven’t had many issues with these devices. This particular charge 2 is roughly 3 years old.
Update: at 2:35, it resumed toggling on and off without me doing anything to it. I will not be wearing it to sleep for the first time in years.
