Charge 2 no longer syncs with my Windows computer

My Charge 2 was working perfectly until May 1st. I suspected a problem earlier in the week because I did not get a notification the battery was low. Again today, no notification and the Charge 2 battery was practically dead. That got me to look at my dashboard and found no sync since May 1st.

I replaced my last FitBit after a firmware update bricked it. The fact the problem started May 1st seems suspicious to me.

I do not have a smart phone. My laptop does not have bluetooth. I am using the wireless dongle. When I try to sync, the FitBit is recognized, but then I get "Syncing you Fitbit Tracker This may take several minutes." That goes on for hours.

The FitBit is working, just not syncing. Trying to fix the syncing problem with the last FitBit (while on the phone to FitBit) resulted in that FitBit ceasing to function at all. I am a bit gun shy wrt trying things. But would be happy to hear suggestions.

Hi, @jt_stl , Fitbit withdrew support from the Windows 10 app late last year and Fitbit Connect no longer works.  I am surprised that it was still working on 1 May!

To answer your direct question, the Charge 2 has not had any recent updates.  When Fitbit discontinues a device it will only receive urgent security updates; no other firmware updates are rolled out.

I am sorry not to have better news for you.
