I recently bought a new phone - Samsung Galaxy J6 Plus.
When choosing this, checking whether it was on the Fitbit compatible list in order to receive notifications was not something that occurred to me!
So disappointed after much effort and time to find that my Charge2 will not pair with my new Samsung.
Finding it hard to understand why not all newish Samsung phones are not on the list - I mean I had had my old Samsung for 4 years!
Any comments / suggestions appreciated.
Fitbit support seemed to think I could change my device!

@noaj1961 Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here!
Sorry to hear that your Charge 2 isn't syncing with your phone and for the delay in my response. Also thank you for reaching out to our Support team. As you mentioned your phone doesn't show as compatible but that doesn’t mean it won’t work it just means that it hasn’t been tested by our team. You can try going to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there. Restart your phone and restart your device. After this try syncing them. Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on. You can find additional suggestions here.
Let me know how it goes.

Hi Alvaro
Thank you for your suggestions - but I have tried all of these on more than one occasion and still no luck.
I notice that you say that as yet the Samsung Galaxy J6 Plus has not been tested by the team - hopefully that means you might be looking to do that in the near future? If that is the case will you put a message on this conversation?
Thanks

@noaj1961 thank you for following our Suggestions. If I get an update about your device I will gladly let you know here. Also keep an eye on the link I shared as it will also be updated. In the meantime you could try using a different device (maybe from a friend or relative) to setup and sync your tracker with.
I'll be around.
