Charge 2 not detecting heart rate

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My fitbit Charge 2 no longer tracks heart rate except maybe once a day for a few minutes (as seen in the screen shot if it loads right). I’ve tried restarting it 6 times in a row to make sure as well as trying different heart rate tracking options. I’ve seen other posts like mine at about the same month of ownership. (They want you to have to buy a new one about 6 months after the warrenty expires.) Has anyone found a fix for this? It’s  not worth wearing ideas there’s no heart rate tracking or accurate sleep tracking either because of that.

Here’s the image of what the scattered nature of the heart rate tracking looks like. Just started last Wednesday it seems.

Hey @BigDan123, it is great to see new faces around! Thanks for trying to restart your Charge 2 in order to make it track your heart rate more accurately. I thing that is not reading your heart rate very well, how are you wearing your Charge 2? Could you please confirm that you are using it as described in this help article: How do I track my heart rate with my Fitbit device?

Let me know how it goes!

Yes, I am wearing it the way in which it demonstrates in the article, the
same way I've been wearing it for 16-18 months before it stopped reading
the heartrate.

Thanks for your reply @BigDan123! Let me confirm something, instead of your BPM, since you mentioned that it won't track your heart rate every day, on the days when is not tracking your heart rate, are you seeing this "--" on the display?

Let me know!

Yes, it shows "--" below the heart symbol.

Let me know how they resolve your case because my charge 2 started doing the same thing starting I believe Wednesday.

They did nothing for me. I bought an Apple Watch and have no more problems.

This is the most recent failure that has happened to my Charge 2:

Between Friday May 10, 11:35AM and Friday May 10, 11:10pm, My Fitbit did not record a single BPM.

Today Saturday May 11, 11:35 AM  My Charge2 again stopped recording BPM. I will have to wait when it decides start recording BPM again. (no BPM is happening as I'm typing this response)

This is not good!... I monitor my BPM all day, every day. I need this information so that I know when I'm in danger of over stressing my Heart during various activities.... I have AFIB.

Picture shows BPM stopped taking readings twice yesterday.

At this moment charge 2, Notifications are on, there is medium charge, WiFi just synced, BPM is not taking readings, the 2 small green lights are NOT ON.....YIKES!

I’ve got the same thing & reset hasn’t changed that. All other functions work but not pulse which is key thing O need Fitbit for as I’ve had bouts of unexplained bradycardia. My Fitbit is secondhand but new to me today. Seller did firmware update & instantly pulse stopped working. Help please!
