Charge 2 not pairing after repairs

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hey, I sent my Charge 2 out for repairs and now that it’s back, it won’t connect to my phone. I tried factory restarting the Fitbit, turning off Bluetooth and on again, restarting my phone, etc. I have an iphone and I had it “forget this device” on Bluetooth and it’s not in my Bluetooth menu anymore. I don’t remember how to get it to connect with the iphone. Please help.

Hi @SunsetRunner  here is the Charge 2 user manual and related articles area - click - and here is the article on how to set up your device - click

Fitbit doesn't repair these devices. Where did you send it? Got me curious.

Stepping in the U.S.A. since September 2013. Android 14

Hey! I looked at those articles/the manual and it didn’t really help. The
problem is, when I try to hook it up to the charger for my phone to connect
with it via Bluetooth, nothing happens. Nothing comes up on the phone or
the Charge 2. The Charge 2 is already on, it’s tracking my steps, and it
has a very wrong date and time on display. It’s not like opening a new
Fitbit straight out of the box.

I had a Square Trade warranty on it and they are the ones who repaired
it...It was a battery issue and they replaced the battery.

If it makes you feel better after this latest iphone update I can't get bluetooth to find my charge 2 either.  My fitbit is still counting steps, but it won't sync since it says bluetooth is off, when it clearly is on, but can't find the fitbit.

I found this & it worked for me:

As to my message that I was showing my blue tooth was turned off when itwas turned on. I went into my settings and went to the Fitbit. Seems like when I upgraded to IOS 13 the Bluetooth sharing got turned off. As soon as I enabled blue tooth sharing my Fitbit started syncing again!

Hi @Odyssey13 @Nessa1234 , nice to see you back! Thank you for your comments and help!

@SunsetRunner , a warm welcome to the Community! Thank you for your information. Fitbit does not offer a repair service. If you received a Charge 2 from Square Trade, it is most probably that you received another device as the one you sent. This is normal so, so don't worry about that.

Do you receive any error message, when trying to setup the Charge 2?

If the advises from Odyssey13 and Nessa1234 do not help, please perform these steps, some of them you might have already done, but the order is important:

Make sure that there is no other Bluetooth device connected to your phone or nearby. (Headphones, keyboards, etc.)

  • Restart your Charge 2.
  • Verify that your Fitbit app doesn't need any update.
  • Please on the phone, go to Settings> Bluetooth, and remove all the connections that exist with the tracker . (Forget device, ignore or unpair depending on the version of the operating system of the phone)
  • Turn off the Bluetooth and restart the phone. (switch off and on again).
  • When the phone is back on, turn the Bluetooth on again, but do NOT try to connect to the tracker from here.
  • Go on the app. From here, try setting up the tracker as a new device.
Let me know how it goes .
