Usual problem connecting Charge to 2 to Android phone. Whats the solution

Hello @Hilarya1 the solution might depend on the phone model. 

 

First question i have, is the Charge 2 already connected to your Fitbit accouny

When you say that you can not connect the Charge 2 to your phone. What steps are you taking, and do you see any error messages? If so what would they be? 

Also a user does not connect a tracker to their phone, they setup the tracker to their Fitbit account through the Fitbit app's add device. Once setup the Fitbit app will do the actual connecting of the tracker to the phone.

Whenever you try to pair the Android phone it finds the phone and gives you
the four numbers and the try's to pair and fails every time.

It suggests you turn off Bluetooth which I have. It suggest there is another
Fitbit which there isn't and some other problem.

I have tried for three days now and failed miserably.

I have reset both the phone and Fitbit.

It states that the Fitbit it see does not have heart beat monitor but it
always has.

It won't record sleep patterns either

So you are trying to setup the tracker to your Fitbit account? 

I don't understand the "it finds the phone" 

It is the Fitbit app that looks for the Charge 2. 

Have you: 

  • Removed the Charge 2 from your phones Bluetooth list of trusted devices? 
  • Checked do an update to your fitbit app? 
  • Restarted the Charge 2 and the Phone? 
  • Logged out and then back into the the fitbit app? 
  • Cleared the fitbit apps cache? Phone setting / Apps / Fitbit / Storage / Clear Cache
  • Removing the fitbit app, restart phone, install fresh copy of the Fitbit app?
