I cannot get my Charge 2 to send any text message notifications. This is the 2nd tracker I've had due to the 1st one being deemed defective by Fitbit (syncing issue). I've tried everything on the troubleshooting page. Any suggestions?

try the 5/23/17 response previously, . on your phone ap, go into right, see notifications, you need to allow it to access your calls, you can allow text too. hope this helps.

@style_boot and @Jocely have you looked at the help doc.. It tells what settings are needed in the phone. Is the phone set to show notifications on its lock screen?
Also please provide tgettype of phone so that we can give info that will pertain.

Hey @AGraceS, welcome to the Community! Sounds pretty good that your Charge 2 is getting notifications after you followed the tips that were previously posted. I appreciate the update, I'm pretty sure this might help other users with the same issue, to solve it.
Have a nice day!

This is exactly what I was looking for. Somehow, my Fitbit notifications would work one time and not the next and it seemed as though charging it was the cause of it turning off. I'm guessing that I somehow pressed the button while hooking it up. Thank you for the help.

Hey @lleemt, it is great to see new faces around! You can turn the notifications ON and OFF anytime you want on the Charge 2 itself. If you are not sure if they are enable or not, you can go through the screens on the tracker until find the "Notifications".
If you have further questions or comments, let me know!

I was getting text, call and calendar notifications up until about two months ago — it may be tied to moving to airplane mode on a trip or an IOS update or nothing at all. I continue to get call notifications but no longer get text or calendar notifications. I have tried all the suggestions here and still not getting them. This is very frustrating. What more can I do?

@Laurako it probably has to do with the iOS update problem that had been on the pink banner for the last 3 months.
If your having notification problems, please contact Fitbit. They have been very helpful in stepping the user through the setup process.

My charge 2 still will not display messages or phone calls 😞 I have tried the advice given on chat; what else can I do?

Things that have worked for me in the past include
- disabling/re-enabling bluetooth on the phone
- removing/re-adding the fitbit from the list of bluetooth devices on the phone
- restarting the phone
- making sure notifications are set properly on the phone

@BertM I'll try and ask again. What arevthe specific steps taken to re-add a tracker to Bluetooth. If trying through the Bluetooth screen the tracker should reject the attempt. Especially since the Bluetooth LE does not have a pair mode.
Normally removing from the tracker may be enough to allow the app to see the tracker. No need to re-add.

To remove the tracker from Bluetooth on my iPhone, I click the little 'i' with a circle around it in the Bluetooth settings on the phone. There's an option to "Forget the Device" (or something like that). That removes it.
I think I may have restarted my phone after removing and re-adding.
To re-add, just go back into the Bluetooth settings and see if the device shows up as something you can re-add. If yes, click it to add it. If no, you probably need to re-pair it using the Fitbit app.

I did an online chat with Melissa from Fitbit yesterday and apparently this happened with the last iOS upgrade and the problem is on Fitbit's end. Their engineers are working on it.

A Fitbit being a Bluetooth Low Energy device, can not be added through the Bluetooth menu, the user needs to let the Fitbit app pair the tracker.
