My new Charge 2 is not tracking stairs. Anyone know how to get it to track?

It should automatically track stairs - there are no options to turn tracking on or off.

It can be a bit fussy about tracking them though. Your flight of stairs needs to be at least 10 feet high and, when going up, you need to keep walking - if you pause then it cancels that flight. Could it be that your stairs are not quite high enough?

My old Charge 2 tracked them fine. I set up a new Charge 2 earlier this
month and since changing to the new one, no stairs have been counted. Same
stairs, same workouts as with the old Charge 2.

Fitbits check for altitude gained by detecting changes in air pressure via a small hole in the case. If this becomes blocked then it can stop stairs being tracked. However, as the fitbit is new it's more likely that its just defective. Are you able to return it to the retailer for an exchange? If not, then it will still be covered by Fitbit's warranty and you can make a claim via customer support: contact.fitbit.com
