Charge 2 randomly changes screens

So tonight after a workout I come home and my Charge 2 started changing from screen to screen without me pushing the button.  It goes through all of the screens rapidly like it's possessed.  I tried to restart it and it's still going through all of the screens.  Help anyone?

Hey there @rjack50, welcome to the forums! Robot Very Happy Hmmm... this is very strange. Thanks for already restarting your Fitbit in order to sort this out, nice way to go!

However, while reading your post I noticed as per your Community profile that you have a Fitbit Force linked instead of a Charge 2. Would you mind to confirm which tracker you have? The functionally of those devices are different (most of them), so I want to make sure I'm providing with the correct steps.

In the meantime, assuming you do have the Charge 2. Are you seeing something else weird on the screen? Did you also have the chance to see if the green lights on the back are still flashing? Did you see a battery icon when clipping the tracker with the charging cable?

I know you restarted your tracker, but please let me know if you followed these steps to properly restart your Charge 2:

  1. Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Clip the other end of the charging cable to the port on the back of the tracker. The pins on the charging cable must lock securely with the port.
  3. Make sure the button on your tracker is aligned with the button opening on the charging cable. You’ll know the connection is secure when the tracker vibrates and you see a battery icon on your tracker’s display. Your Charge 2 will begin charging.
  4. Press and hold the button on your tracker for four seconds. When you see the Fitbit logo and the tracker vibrates, this means the tracker has restarted.
  5. Unplug your tracker from the charging cable.

I did all of that Monday night before I wrote the post.  It's weird.  When I woke up the next day the problem stop.  So I continued on.  Then it started up again today.  This time it drained the battery done completely.  I'm now recharging it to see if the problem continues.  Here's a link to the video I took:  https://youtu.be/E-nI39N9LsQ Have ever seen this before?

I'm having the same problem with my Charge 2. Randomly changing screens, then stops at notifications and changes it between on and off. I've cleaned contacts, green lights are flashing, charged it fully and restarted it. When I restarted it, it started going through a bunch of model # screens.

This recently started happening to my Charge 2.  The first time I fixed it by resetting (twice!). It lasted a few days before doing it again and once more I was able to reset it and it lasted a couple of days.  It has now started doing it more often and sometimes 3 times per day.  I found (strangely) that I could only reset if connected to my PC (as if charging); normally resets with just the recharge lead attached to the fitbit. (Or did I dream that?)

I also have this issue, just started today. It initially was "pulsing" on the heart rate and then started flicking through the screens rapidly. It ended up completely draining the battery in less than a day.

mine is doing the same I have tried everything you state but it repeats itself.  also battery is draining very fast.   I don't have control over what I see it does what it wants.  cannot set it for ' work out" or see heart rate just going crazy
