Charge 2 sensor only works for a while

My Charge 2 sensor usually stops working in 2-3 hours. Tapping it doesn’t do anything and it no longer tracks my heartrate and activity. I can fix the problem sometimes by reseting the fitbit. However, when that doesn’t work I’d have to wait until the battery completely runs out.
