Charge 2 start fitbit app tracker

Hello Fitbit Community ,

I have a question and I hope someone can help. I have a charge 2 and I am using the fitbit app to start and stop(manually) my runs. I tried using the side button on my charge 2 to start my runs thinking it would be more convenient then taking out my phone and stopping it manually when I hit the finish-line. The reason I am asking this is using the app start gives me the cues and music through my headphones....just using the press/hold button on my charge2 does not. (or I maybe off base and it does somehow) My question is: Is there any way to start my run by press/hold on my charge2 that is like the same way I hit the start button on the fitbit app.(after I tap the track exercise + button) Or do I just need to get comfortable with taking my phone out and hitting the start and finish before and after a race?

Thank you for your help...sorry if it was a long description of my issue...;)

As I assume you saw, a combination of side button menu plus tapping screen - a few more steps but more capabilities.  I can't find my old Charge 2 right now so I didn't remember exact steps but video probably gave better description than I could have.
