There are so many people having problems with the Charge 2 not syncing as we all expect it to that I wonder if FB tech is working on a solution for this product?
I have had my C2 since 12/17 and have had multiple and lengthy issues with it not wanting to sync regardless of the attempts and tricks I have tried. Yes, I have read the FB answers and sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. I just don't think we should have to keep resetting, rebooting, reconnecting, researching, rethis and rethat in order for this not so cheap products to work as advertised.
I want to put it on and have it count my walk just as MapMyWalk does, not show a mile less traveled; have it connect to my bluetooth just as my earpods do, count my time asleep and awake without gaps in time, and sync throughout the day automatically, and when I ask it to.
Now, come on and fix the problems or tell us this is how it's going to be and get used to it or move on to another product.

Sorry to hear about your syncing issues with your Charge 2 and thank you for troubleshooting them. Since you mentioned you already tried the help site suggestions and contacted our support team then please let them know that the issue persist to see if they have any other options to resolve this.

I am having the same issue. It is ap frustrating.
I have turned my phone on and off.
Uploaded the latest app.
Shut the fitbit app completely off.
Turned the bluetooth off and on
Turned the fitbit app on again.
Logged off and on to the fitbit app.
Installed the app and reinstalled.
And more...
I try this almost everytime.
It is so dang frustrating.
I have a Samsung galaxy S8. A charge 2 that I got in December 2017.
Need a solution.

After a couple weeks of almost normal syncing the dang thing has decided not to sync even after turning the all day and keep alive widgets on and off, turning my phone bluetooth on and off, after resetting my charge 2 while on the charger. It just goes into an endless sync circle, running down my phone battery.

Had similar issues for three weeks now, my runs being hardly tracked, shorter, and me being mapped to places near to where I was running but not the exact points, like a street or two further away (when GPS does occasionally work).
Spoke to live chat support last weekend and was told this is case number 30135508 which they "may not be able to provide a fix in the immediate future."
