If your Fitbit is connected to your phone and you're still not receiving notifications... You have to hold the button down on the side of the Fitbit itself. It's a silence feature that has to be turned off.

Hold the button on the Fitbit itself. The Fitbit comes silenced. If you sold it down for 3 seconds it will turn the notifications on.

Informational:
My text and call notifications were working great for 5 months and then all of a sudden stopped working. I checked all the settings on my phone and they were all still turned on. So I started playing wit's my actual watch...turns out if you push and hold the side button of the watch the notifications will turn off/on. Which means one of my kids must have been playing around with it.

I wore the Charge 2 for about 6 months, everything worked great. I recently ordered and received the Alta HR and decided to gift my husband with my Charge 2. I cannot get the call/text notification to work.
Here's what I have done:
delete and hard reset the whole thing
delete the app from the IPhone 7plus or whatever the latest big monster is
Disable call notification and restart on the Fitbit itself (hold the button for 3 sec)
disable bluetooth, turn the phone off, turn BT back on
redown the app and pair the C2 MULTIPLE TIMES
Made sure to remove any other Fitbit tied to his phone (the only thing left paired is the Aria)
Every single suggestion on all of these 6 pages, I've done over and over and still, call/text notifications will not work.
Any other suggestions?

What about using a Samsung Galaxy S7 active? Are the steps the same?

I have the same issue with charge 2 with ip phone 6s. I'm unable to received phone call or text message . I have tried to the steps posted by remove fitbit app and re-add with new pin. But it doesn't work. Bluetooth able to connect charge2 , charge2 is synced with fitbit app. I also tried reboot Apple phone too. Though all of that, it still doesn't work

Thanks. I just realised my new Fitbit was not alerting me to calls and emails, which I found very helpful with my previous one.

My fitbit works fine except for the notifications everything has on on my phone and I followed the steps above and it still doesn't work. I have never had problems with my fitbit until I owned a charge 2

@Sherry have you checked your phones notification center to make sure that Fitbit has permission to send notifacations? This is one of the things listed to check.
@ltaylor90, I'm not sure what steps you have tried, or what phone you have?

On your 6s go to settings, scroll way down to applications, touch fitbit then notifications, make sure notifications are "on". Go to bluetooth and "forget this device" (circle i for dialog) any trackers connected. Return to the home screen and hold any app icon until they all wiggle. "x" (delete) the fitbit App. Use the Safari browser to go to fitbit.com/setup and download the App, follow the guidance for "add a new device with an existing account." Come back and let us know that when you got to the 4 digit code pairing the first time it was a success so we can pass this advice forward 🙂
fixes - Thanks again!!

Tried everything in this post. Resetting/unpairing/re-enabling, etc...and yes, the Charger 2 itself has notifications turned on (hold button for 3 sec)...still not getting text notifications. Just buzzes when incoming call. Only had it two days or so...nothing's changed since initial setup. BTW on an LG V10 the battery dies fast when syncing all the time.
