Charge 2 won't stayed charged

I charged my Fitbit Charge 2 last night. Battery was dead this morning so I charged it again. I then realized the green lights on the Fitbit are always lit, this discharging the battery. Once the tracker is nearly dead the firmware version will display briefly. Currently is on version 22.58.00

@SallyJoMillIron It's great to see that you've visited the Fitbit Community! Sorry for the delay in my reply.

Let me help you with your Charge 2 losing its charge too quickly and the heart rate sensor not working as it should. Try cleaning the contacts using cotton swab with rubbing alcohol, then charge it by plugging it for a couple of hours directly to your computer's USB port (try different ports) or use an UL-certified USB adapter. After this, restart your device and see how it behaves. You can follow these instructions to help improve the battery life.

Regarding the heart rate sensor, I suggest you clean the back of your device with cotton and rubbing alcohol. Turn the heart rate off, save and sync then turn it on save and sync again. Also check these tips to improve the heart rate reading on your device.

Let me know how it goes.

I followed your instructions for cleaning and restarting my tracker.
Unfortunately, none of that information solved my issue. The green light
on the back of the tracker still runs continuously so the battery charge
lasts only an hour or so. Since it has been so long since I have used my
tracker, it will no longer sync with the app on my android phone. Guess
I probably need a new tracker...I'll have to think about that.
