Charge 2 won't sync

My Charge 2 won't connect to my Huawei P20. It doesn't seem to be on the list for phones with compatibility issues so I'm lost as to why it no longer syncs.

My last sync was on 30th December. I've had the Charge 2 since July 2017 and it's struggled to sync for a few months now. It only really synced when I held the power button while on the charger. This doesn't work any more.

Things I've tried:

Turned bluetooth off/on several times;

Redownloaded the Fitbit app;

Disconnected my Charge 2 in the app.

Since I disconnected in the app I haven't been able to readd the Charge 2. There's no error message but it times out trying to find my Charge 2 and just asks me to try again.

Are there any solutions? From the message board I thought I might be able to sync via my computer but I can't even find Fitbit Connect. All links I can find send me in a vicious circle of

1) "Go to fitbit.com/setup"

2) Scroll down to "Download Fitbit Connect"

3) Get directed to How do I Set Up my Fitbit Device and it just repeats.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks and Happy New Year!

@AdamWY Welcome to the Fitbit Community!

Let me help you with this and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. I suggest you clear the link between your phone and your tracker by doing the following (that includes some steps that you have tried):

  1. Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  2. Restart your phone and restart your device
  3. Check that no battery saving app/feature on your phone is affecting your Fitbit app.
  4. Also, on an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
  5. You can find troubleshooting instructions here.

Let me know how it goes.
