Doesn't help. My Charge 2 won't stay in contact with my phone long enough to sync.

Thanks  for getting back to us and for letting us know that your Charge 2 won't stay in contact with your phone long enough to sync @Lilbiddy.

Do you get an error message when you try to sync? Which is your phone's model?

@AndreaFitbit  I'm using a Sony L4 running Android 9. Charge 2 is updated and app is latest version.

The phone takes a long time to pair with the tracker. Then it drops contact. Tracker has been reset and app reloaded. Bluetooth has been faffed about.

Strangest thing is that I can link to my Kindle fire which still has app version 2.63. If it wasn't for this now deleted version I would not be able to use my Charge 2 at all.

I think there's something off with the Bluetooth in the tracker. A couple of times a message came up about a wrong "pass code or pin number". I haven't the foggiest idea what that is referring to.  The tracker will eventually drop contact with the Kindle but at least it links long enough to synch my data.

Any bright ideas ?

Thanks for getting back to us and for letting us know about your phone and what happens when you try to sync your Charge 2 @Lilbiddy.

The Fitbit app is compatible with most popular phones and tablets. To set up and use your Fitbit products and services, you must install the Fitbit app on a compatible device running one of the following operating systems:

  • Android 10 or higher
  • See additional tips for Android phones and tablets.

Do you get the passcode message when you sync?

If you read my post you will see I am running Android 9. My app version is 3.57 as provided by Play Store which states that the update is suitable for Android 8 and above. The Charge 2 doesn't have the ability to respond to messages etc. Really don't know why you think Android 10 is required.

As for the passcode I assume that is the 4 digit number required for installing the device. Yes I do get that.

So are you saying that your app is wrongly described in Play Store and that you have rendered my Fitbit useless without any prior notification? No exactly good customer service is it? The app update of 3.57 was sent to my phone..If it shouldn't have been then you have actually sabotaged my Fitbit. Another reason why older versions should remain available.

How do you intend to rectify your error?

Andrea,

My FitBit app won't allow me to login. My Charge 2 stopped syncing last Tuesday. I have an iPhone SE. I can see the Bluetooth is connected to the Charge 2. I attempted to login to the FitBit app on my phone and it always gives me the "Oops, something went wrong." I removed the app and re-installed it a couple times. Did a force quit and disconnected from the Blutooth and then reconnected. I still just get the join/login page, and after entering my information, it gives me the "Oops" message.

Thanks!

Thanks for getting back to us and for your feedback @Lilbiddy. I got the information about Android  10 here. I understand how frustrating this could be and reported this in order to correct Play Store information.  We strongly recommend using Android  10 for best results but can still work with previous versions.

Thank you for reporting this @drartlee. Have you tried syncing your Charge 2 with a different device? Which version of the app does your iPhone have? Does your tracker have the latest firmware version?
