Charge 2 won't update

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have a Charge 2 that the app says it needs a software update. When I run the update it doesn't proceed and it tells me an error message stating it cannot update. I've turned off my Bluetooth and turned it back on, the Fitbit is fully charged, my internet connection is fine. Anybody have an idea as to how I get this thing to update? The actual Fitbit comes up with that wonderful exclamation point error icon during the process as well.

@DaneeOh Thanks for stopping by!

Let me help you with this. You can try clearing the link between your phone and your tracker by doing the following:

  1. Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  2. Restart your phone and restart your device
  3. Check that no battery saving app/feature on your phone is affecting your Fitbit app.
  4. Also, on an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
  5. You can find troubleshooting instructions here.

Hope this helps.
