Charge 3 Battery Draining Quickly

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My brand new Charge 3 was on my wrist for all of 28hrs when it suddenly shut down. Last I had checked, it was at a 93% battery. The app said it was a fully battery as well but couldn’t find it to sync. When I got home to my charger, it powered on with a 4% battery. Any reason as to why this might happen ?

@Bwhite177 Welcome to the Fitbit family! Thanks for reporting the situation you are experiencing with the battery power on your Charge 3. Thanks for sharing all of those details about this.

In this case, I'd recommend restarting your Charge 3. That should help with it.

If that doesn't work, please review these tips to improve the battery life on your Charge 3.

Hope this helps. Keep me posted! Smiley Happy

I am experiencing the same time. My charge is only lasting about 2 days (a little less). I don't get any indication that my battery is running low until suddenly it's just dead. When I put it on the charger, it says it has 3%. I'll try resetting once it's charged again, but this is really disappointing! I've only had my Charge for 4 days, and already I've had to charge it twice (with no warning)!  I came here to see if others were experiencing something similar.

Exact same problem

suddenly shut off except when I started charging it it wasn’t even showing the charging symbol, I had to restart it and then it showed it was at 19% (it had been plugged in for about 15 min at that point).

really disappointing since I only got it 3 days ago.

In my case, I seemed to have fixed the problem by installing the latest software update. Give that a try and see if it fixes it for you, too! Mine has been working well ever since.

I had similar issues where my battery drained down to 50% after only 1 day!  I ended up returning it back to Costco and bought another one to test if it was a defective battery or if all the Charge 3 batteries drain quickly.  It's been 3 days and it's only down to 84%, the way it should be working.

Similar here - one week old charge 3 - fully charged yesterday, less than 24 hours later totally dead.  Frustrating with a new Fitbit.

I seem to have an issue with my Fitbit charge 3. I had it on charge last night was 100% and unfortunately it drained within less than 20 mins . Has anyone else had this problem? I manged to recharge it on the go but it still drains faster than I can walk.. Within 15mins it is basically dead.

Hi there! I’ve suddenly developed the same problem with my new Charge 3! Worked and charged well for a couple of months and now I’m recharging every 6 - 8 hours. I’ve tried everything suggested; it’s no change to this new battery problem. I’ve reported it too but waiting the obligatory 2 or more days for a response. Hoping you have a suggestion/solution sooner???

I am having the exact same problem. I have had it just over a month and it's been working great. Yesterday the battery drained really quickly. I charged it again before bed. It was 109% at 11pm by 6am it was 16%

I followed some suggestions and so I deleted the original install, then rebooted it, then reinstalled it, and the battery went back to holding its charge (for now). I do feel the ALTA was more consistent with recording steps, displays and charging. Good luck!

Hi, I have the same issue. Battery draining within 8-10 hours. How did you deleted the original install?

Thank you,

There is an option when you go to do and install, that identifies there is one already installed so I delete that first and it searches for it again to reinstall

I tried everything suggested. Including restarting and resetting. I finally had to submit a warranty claim.
