Charge 3 In Daylight

Just want to stop by to say I too have been plagued with the Fitbit Charge 3 and being unreadable in any form of light. Just like many before me, I have tried everything suggested here and with CS on the phone. This is very frusterating as I did really enjoy my Charge 3 until that fateful update where everything changed for the worse. I thought it was just a setting a long time ago and dismissed it only to find this forum and the many users that have also had this problem. So is Fitbit actually working on a fix for this, or are they just going to sit back and watch us all with these problems? Just asking as I am going to need to buy something new soon if there is no fix in the works, and want to know what direction to take when shopping? Thanks.

And for the record, yes, my tracker is out of warranty and do not deny that.

My screen works but see nothing when outside which is not new to me. Is your sensor working? Cause I got no tracking of anything just steps.

havent heard anything about them going to fix the issue, have no heard about issues being fixed from previous faulty updates.

I’ve had mine just over 1.5 year. It’s like they set a time for the device to die after warranty.

my partner had a screen death and moved on to Garmin watch and is very happy since. Maybe you want to venture that direction in the further. I think I’m gonna wait and see if they might fix it, but doubtful

For me it is just a visibility issue not being able to read the screen when primarily outdoors. I do honestly like it, the design and mainly the feature of getting messages, but am just upset of the support given in hopes of trying to solve a well known and documented problem. I have seen Garmin recommended before in many of the other threads where this issue has popped up. Thanks for the info. I too am just gonna sit and wait a bit longer, but not too long before making a new purchase.

Agreed. The lack of effort to help is appalling.

I’ve lived happily without it until couple of years ago when my partner got his Fitbit to replace the jawbone, which was an influence of his friends. He wouldn’t stop going on about how great his Fitbit was, so I ended up getting one of my own, but luckily I never paid full price for the device. I got a new replacement pebble from Fitbit and got cheap straps off eBay.

It is nice to have the information easily available and the design has certainly grown on me.
I think I’ll probably give it another week and see how I feel
