Charge 3 Screen corruption

My Charge 3 screen has been corrupted. I can only see very little spots of light and display in complete darkness, not enough to make out anything. I have taken care of the Charge 3 but eventually it has failed me.
From looking through the forum I see that this has become a common occurrence for those outside of the warranty (how convenient). For anyone dealing with this problem, let me save you some time after you have tried restarting and rebooting and still get nothing showing up on your screen nothing to be done but keep the defective thing and just look at your stats on your phone app or buy another fitness tracker (whether through fitbit and their paltry 25% discount for their faulty device or some other fitness tracker).

Fitbit should do a better job with their equipment as I was essentially told through customer support chat there was no solution and only offered 25% off a new device. No complaints about the support I received, but complaints about the solution. There should be more options to solve the problem for the Fitbit instead of being left with no solutions but getting a new costly device (even with the discount) because the warranty is up. At this point, I would rather shell out a little extra and get a better smartwatch for the price instead of just a fitness tracker with a few smart features.

I have recommended Fitbit products to many people and know of at least 6 people who have bought Fitbit products because of my recommendation of products/company but I won't be doing so anymore and can only hope the people I recommended the device to don't encounter the problems I did.
