I have had the Charge 3 for about a year now. and all of a sudden in the past few months the screen kept getting lighter and lighter and now, it is not readable. my screen is failing. the charge 3 has only been out for 18 months. seems like the charge 3 has had some major issues, as it isn't very old.
it is still counting my steps, Etc. but it is kind of useless if i can't use the exercises, like going for a walk, etc and i can't see the screen to do anything with it like even see the time or date.
i have ordered the Charge 4, i sure hope there are not any issues with it. these are not cheap and hate to keep having to upgrade every year.
if the charge 4 has issues it will be the last one i ever buy. witch is to bad, i like them.
not sure if the charge 3 can be fixed as it seems to be a screen issue.

I am having that same problem, in the same time frame. Called the help desk. Short version of the call...the script the help desk guy read from doesn't address the problem. They sent me an email with a discount code for a replacement device of their choosing (i.e. I cannot apply the discount to a replacement Charge 3, or new Charge 4). Not sure I want the other Fitbit products. Likely will go to another brand.
