I currently have a Charge2 and just got a new Charge3 to replace it. My concern is that the Charge2 appears to be a much more robust device - in that the tracker attachment points are metal and have no moving parts - the straps have metal bands that flex to fit to the tracker. The new Charge3 has a plastic housing with moving parts that lock the new C3 bands into place. I am concerned that this design is not as robust and if anything is going to break, it is going to be the tracker body itself, not the strap. I've had many Charge2 straps break while playing sports - which is bad, but easily fixed with a new strap - I'm worried this C3 won't hold up to rough play like the C2 does. Thoughts / comments???

I've not noticed any increase in posts within the community for band issues with the Charge 3 but it's not been out long and perhaps the problem is yet to appear.
If it does break as you fear then it will be covered by the warranty (while it lasts)

As always looking at reviews after the event, I purchased a new Charge 3 to replace my 2 purely for the water resistance abilities. Within two days I had nearly lost my new Charge when the strap became detached on five occasions.
The general consensus from Fitbit appears, from what I have read on the Fitbit forums, to be that it is the inability of the user to fit the strap correctly.
Sorry Fitbit but we aren't stupid, this is so obviously a design fault and regardless of how many replacement straps you offer you will not fix the problem.
I fixed the problem with a little bit of effort on my behalf, I took the Charge 3 back to the retail outlet (Argos UK) and received a refund, this is what is called "consumer rights" we all have them so we should use them.
As for a replacement? well I'm back to my Charge 2 and removing it for swimming as before, I know how many lengths I do and I know pretty well how my body benefits both physically and mentally after this exercise, so if I forget to use my Fitbit it just doesn't matter.

Hi I got a charge 3 less than 2 weeks ago, The large strap fell off constantly so I took it back to Argos it wasn't even a week old. They refused to exchange it despite me saying I wanted an exchange, instead they made me get a replacement strap from fitbit. The strap arrived today and it will not fit onto the fitbit. I have demanded fitbit tell Argos to exchange it but Fitbit said I had to send the actual display bit back to them. Surely this is wrong? The fitbit is 2 weeks old on Saturday, Argos should exchange it for another one

The strap on my Fitbit 3 becomes detached at one side of the watch. It is clearly the connecting mechanism. My watch is just over a year old and therefore out of warranty. I never experienced this problem with my original Fitbit. It appears to be a design fault. I am unable to use the watch now which is a shame as in all other respects the watch is pretty good.

@Handsflat Can I just check that you are not in Europe (as the warranty there is 2 years)
