I finally ordered a Charge 3 and waited in great anticipation because I've been long wanting to do stuff that a (and especially this) fitness tracker can do for me.
So far nothing works as expected and I'm really starting to feel scammed by this product and its marketing.
So here it is, I have a 180 USD (160 EUR) freakin' heartbeat monitor - which cannot even do that properly, otherwise I guess it would be able to detect if I'm sleeping or not.
Any comments from the product team? Are you feeling happy when you're reading through your community forum? Is this what you had in mind when designing and developing your product?
To be honest, I maybe have come to this with a bias because of my expectations and because I already own another smart watch that runs Wear OS. And don't get me wrong, I'm all for competing technologies and products, heck, that's why I'm wearing two smart watches right now. Also, my Wear OS watch, I don't like to use it for doing exercise because I fear for it, I don't want to damage or break the display or the leather band, 'cause though it looks beautiful, it's not that durable -- different materials for different use-case. But it can do every single one of those items above (if not natively then through a downloadable app), except the SPO2 measurements, but hey, guess what?!, it turns out that the Charge 3 cannot do that either!
I mean I could've just bought a display protector and a silicon wrist band for my Wear OS watch and use Google Fit, it would have basically beat this lightweight and durable disappointment of a fitness tracker.

no offence but my Fitbit is working fine and all those things you complained about works perfectly fine on my fitbit

No offense but clearly you're lying...
So you're using your SPO2 sensor, right? Oh, please tell me in what form do you have those measurements displayed.

I agree with everything you said and I hate to tell you, but you will most likely have an issue with durability as well. Just search the forums for screen damage and you will see what I mean. Further, Fitbit does not fully warrant its hardware - it considers the screen damage to be your fault even if you have only used the device as intended. If you are within the return window I encourage you to do so - I missed mine by 6 days and am stuck with a fitness tracker that is too fragile to withstand my rigorous life of teaching, walking and sleeping.

By the way, don't be surprised if you find your post heading edited "for clarity". They was done to me and a post was removed because of,evidently, my honesty. I feel this censorship makes it harder for the consumer to get the full picture.

No way reb8
They'd actually edit posts to hide facts about their product?!

I've not known them to censor posts but they are pretty quick to remove posts that breach the community guidelines (see: https://community.fitbit.com/guidelines ) The one that seems to trip a lot of people up is when they post what fitbit consider "inflammatory"

I see.
If they edit the subject, fair enough, I honestly think now that that was a rush decision 🙂

Thanks for the tip, I edited my comment so it only states the facts and does not include a reference to any people.

I too am disappointed. Have never been able to get the sleep to track. This is my third FitBit and I have been happy with all until now. Looking at other brands now and definitely not recommending this one to my clients or peers.
Screen cracked within a few months. So that throws out the waterproof feature too! I clear reminders and they keep returning. Annoying but I can live with that.
As a fitness professional, I wanted a watch/tracker I could use during class and wear daily but apparently that is not "normal use" and warranty does not cover it....despite the countless posts on this community discussing cracked screens.

That's actually good to hear, good on you mate!
I just returned mine. Fortunately I was still in time so I could get a full refund.

100% agree but people are "okay" with it because they're gotten their broken Charge 3's replaced under warranty. I'm not happy about Fitbit selling crappy electronics that don't even last long.
