Charge 3 alarms, notifications, etc, issues

I received the special edition for Christmas and while it worked for a week or two nothing works reliably anymore. I’ve tried all the troubleshooting steps.

  • if I set a recurring alarm the first day will work but the second will not
  • i cannot get text and phone notifications to work anymore. Tried all the advice in the community pages.
  • weather no longer works. I do not change the location settings. I also configure a city, it looks like it takes it but then I go back to it and nothing is set.
  • sleep no longer records and I wear it properly on my wrist
  • the only thing that does seem to work is the hourly movement tracker and notification

So far my notifications are still working.

Should I expect issues if I sync both with my iPhone and then at night with my iPad? I use the iPad to set my alarm, check sleep stats, etc. I can stop doing that.

The alarm is still a concern (I know you're looking into it) but when I set one for 6am the next day it's almost like it turns itself off at midnight. (because it's off when I wake up in the morning)

The two critical features I need to work consistently are the alarm clock and the notifications otherwise I'll need to start looking for another brand.

Hi Fitbit, this recurring alarm problem has been going now for years.  Yes you keep saying your team are aware of the issue and are working on it - but how long should we wait?  Are your developers so busy with new products that there is no resource to fix the older ones?  I'd rather have a working alarm than all the mindfulness, nutrition and sleep messages you keep sending me!  I'd get much better sleep if I wasn't worried about the alarm not going off in the morning.  I'm getting close to tossing my fitbit in the bin and buying a different brand.
