Charge 3 and Charge 2 tracking different stats

I have happily used my fitbit2 for 2 years and decided to replace it with a Fitbit3 as I had cracked the screen in 2 places. I am concerned that the 3 does not seem to give the same step counts / calorie counts for similar exercises that I have done for 2 years.

Are you wearing them on the same atm and connected to desperate accounts?

Hello there @Rich_Laue, welcome to the Community Forums. We're sorry to hear about the discrepancy you're seeing between your trackers.

The algorithms used in both devices are the same, so you should see no more than a standard 4% variation between the two. It's possible to get different readings if the trackers are worn in different locations (dominant vs non-dominant wrist). We recommend reviewing the accuracy information provided on our help site at: How accurate are Fitbit devices?

As my friend @Rich_Laue mentioned, keep in mind that if you are going to use the same Fitbit email address you used to use with your Charge 2, all your previous data will be stored on your Fitbit account (since the day you linked your Charge 2 until now). Once the Charge 3 is paired to the account, your dashboard will start syncing and showing all the information tracked from your Charge 3.

We're looking forward to your response. 😉
