Charge 3 black screen

My Charge 3 screen is black and my app can not connect to it. I’ve attempted following the reset directions. When I hold the side button the device vibrates and then stops after 15 seconds but will not respond in any other way.

 

I cannot change the clock face because my app says it’s unable to connect to the device. The only other way the device responds is when I connect it to its charger, it vibrates once. Nothing seems to be working to reset or connect to it.

Please help!
