Charge 3 black screen

My charge 3 is not working properly. The screen is black. I have changed the clock face numerous times and tried the reset with no luck. It is still syncing to my phone, the screen is just black.  Please HELP!- this watch is only 6 months old.

Hi @SarahFisher, welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'd like to follow up and help you with your Charge 3 since the screen became black and it won't turn on. By the way, thank you for trying to get this issue before contacting our forums.

 

I'd like you to try a long restart. To do so on your device, follow the steps below:

 

  1. Connect the device to the charging cable. 
  2. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds. 
  3. The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration. 
  4. The device turns off.
  5. The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur. 
  6. Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  7. Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again and see if the display turns on properly

Hello! 

 

I had tried this previously. This isnt the first time my screen has went black. The last time, a few weeks ago this did work. I tried this yesterday and again after reading your message. Unfortunately, the screen is still black and will not come on.

This is the first time for me.  I did all the steps and my screen is still black.  The app tells me my Charge 3 is fully charged, and it communicates with my iPhone just fine.

I also tried changing the clock face.  The Fitbit buzzed to indicate success, but the screen is still black.

Thank you Juan. Display did indeed turn on properly, last night, but this morning it is back to black. All other functions/bluetooth connection is OK. What next?

@JuanJoFitbit . My screen still will not turn on.  None of the steps worked and changing the clock face did not either. I have been trying for a week now.  This watch is only 6 months old

Once stop pressing, the vibrating stops but a blank screen remains. My application cannot connect to the device to change a clock face so kind of a catch-22 here in trying the reset/repair options.

 

Can a ticket be opened for me to have support understand how to assist me in resolving this issue.  Thank you.
