Charge 3 black screen

My charge 3 has a black screen. I have tried everything that has been advised to fix it but nothing. This is obviously a known fault with Fitbit so why were they not recalled as this is not the fault of the consumer but a fault in the devices. Is this a ploy by Fitbit so we have to keep buying new ones. This is so unfair.

Thanks for letting us know about the situation you're having with your Charge 3 and for your efforts.

I suggest you try to do a long restart:

  • Connect the device to the charging cable.
  • Press and hold the button for 15 seconds while the device is connected to the charging cable.
  • The device turns on and shows a battery symbol. Two vibrations occur: first a short one, then a medium one.
  • The device turns off.
  • The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. 
  • Remove the device from the charging cable. The device will shut down.
  • Reconnect the device to the charging cable.
