I've had my fit bit 3 for a couple of years now and always use it but for the last couple of weeks the watch charges and counts my steps if I look on the app but the screen on the watch is blank or it doesn't highlight what can I do or what can it be ?

Please restart your Charge 3 as suggested here How do I restart my Fitbit device? If the restart doesn't work try to change your clock face. If this fixes the issue, you can change your clock face back to the original clock face.
