Charge 3 blank screen

On New Years Day the screen on my Charge 3 was acting up and has been blank since. I have tried all the recommended fixes but nothing is working. I'm now trying to kill the battery to see if the screen comes back with a restart but with the screen not working it's taking forever for the battery to die.

I have tried restarting, followed, the recommendation above and also tried changing the clock face. Nothing has helped.
