Charge 3 blank screen

I have had my Fitbit Charge 3 for about 10 months now and the screen has suddenly gone really dark, but not altogether black. I have tried rebooting it and changing the clock face on the app but it has not changed the dimness. I can't change the brightness on the actual watch as I can't see it properly. Can anyone advise how I can do this?
