Charge 3 blank screen

I have tried all the advise restarts and changing clock face, still have blank screen. Not sure it's recording as not syncing. Only time I get anything on the screen is when it's in the charge socket and shows a number. I thought this steps for today but I don't think it's correct. It's just flashes up so hard to see. Any ideas to solve this problem. I have unistalled and reinstalled turned my android phone on and off. Thanks
