Charge 3 blank screen

Have tried the recommended holding left button while plugged in and changing clock face. Neither work. This is really upsetting as I reported this in November last year and heard nothing. I then was in hospital and by the time I started getting back into walking etc my one year had expired.

 

I am now using it but it is really hard to use with a solid black screen. I am over 70 and this was a present for Christmas. I cannot just throw it away and go out and buy another one. Any help you give will be gratefully received.

Many thanks for you swift reply. I am very grateful. It’s sort of escalated a bit. I thought as I was not having any luck with the suggestions on line I would see if I disable the charge 3 from my phone and then reload it then it may work again.   Did not realise that once I tried enabling it that it would send me a four number code to type into my phone!  Obviously that was impossible as the screen was still black!  So now I have my granddaughter’s one because she said I needed it more than she did!!! I have to agree with her!! 
I have been a member I think since about 2014/15. My son bought me the charge for Christmas before last. It was so lovely and I cherished it but it started being hard to read from prob November last year. I remember contacting Fitbit asking what should do. But just after that my children’s dad died ( my ex) and since then we have had that to deal with and then lockdown came along. I still walked but could only check on my phone the time and distance etc.

I didn't. Very disappointed.

Is this the way FITBIT ensures it will have repeat sales? Everyone has to buy a new model?

Having the same problem. This is only about a year old but we have had to do the restart process multiple times. Also a gift. This time it will not work at all. Smiley Face and then nothing.

I had a charge 2 and the bands kept falling off, now I have a charge 3 and the screen goes blank.. Frustrating for what you perceive as a good brand name, maybe it should change name to GlitchBit.

Yep. My son has one of the watch shaped Fitbit. Think it’s blaze? He has had a replacement already when it stopped working after couple of months!! I am waiting to hear back from Fitbit regarding my complaint.
