Charge 3 buzzing and flickering randomly

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I went swimming wearing my charge 3 and since then it’s been randomly buzzing, flickering between screens and doesn’t read my heart rate accurately (way too high). It looks like this is a common problem with the charge 3 - I’ve reset it (the 7 and 15 second ones) but it’s not made a difference. Is there anything that fixes it or do I just need a replacement?

I’m having the same issue just now and I can’t sleep with my Fitbit because it keeps vibrating. What should I do? I saw another discussion thread on this and everyone ended up getting an email for replacement....

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @JackP8181.

I regret to hear that you are having the same issue.

Before evaluating your case, please restart your Fitbit Charge 3 by following these steps. If this doesn't work, you can also perform a long restart:

  1. Connect the device to the charging cable.
  2. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds.
  3. The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration.
  4. The device turns off.
  5. The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur.
  6. Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  7. Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again.

Please let us know if you need further assistance.

I'm having the same problem after going swimming. I've gone swimming with it before and never had this problem, but today it was different. I tried the shut downs and they didn't work.
