Charge 3 completely black screen

My Charge 3 screen is completely black and I can't see anything on it. Its synced to my phone and still counting steps and vibrates etc. Is there a way to reset it or change the screen brightness in the app as I can't see anything on the screen of the device at all?

Google "how to brighten Fitbit screen on Charge 3". It will tell you to swipe left on Charge 3 until you get to settings.  Then choose normal and your screen will be visible again.

In order for me to better assist you with this, please confirm that you've followed the steps below:

 

  1. If your Charge 3 is still syncing, try changing the clock face to a different one by following these steps: How do I change the clock face on my Fitbit device?. The steps are done through the Fitbit app, do not worry if you cannot see anything on the screen for this process. 
  2. Please confirm if you've restarted your device by following the steps from this help article: How do I restart my Fitbit device?

This happened to mine also. It seems to be a known issue with these trackers and there’s really no fix. All I got from Fitbit was buy a new one😡.

Sounds about right, mine has done the same thing yesterday, was working fine then today black screen. Probably done on purpose so you have to get rid and buy a new one.

I have tried all the recommendations but still have a black screen. As other people have stated - it appears that Fitbit wants to force us to but a new tracker.
