Charge 3 constantly vibrating and screen turns off and on

I love my Fitbit and have had it a little over a year. This afternoon it started randomly vibrating and the screen flashing on and off as if the side switch is stuck. 

 

I have reset it on the charge, changed the clock face and rebooted it a few times to no avail. 

 

Has there been a solution to this problem. I am very upset! Please help!

Hi @SunsetRunner, welcome to our Fitbit Community. I'm sorry to hear that your Charge 3 vibrates constantly and it turns on and off as though the side switch is stuck. I totally understand how you feel about this and I appreciate the time spent trying to get this issue resolved before contacting our forums.

 

I'd like you to try a long restart. To do so no your device, follow the steps below:

 

  1. Connect the device to the charging cable. 
  2. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds. 
  3. The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration. 
  4. The device turns off.
  5. The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur. 
  6. Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  7. Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again.
  8. Finally, monitor your tracker and see if it stops vibrating constantly and the screen stops turning off and on

Yes I tried the long reset a few times and then every time I plugged it in
to the charger it seemed to do it automatically. Then it went completely
crazy and went off constantly.

So I let the battery die last night and then have just plugged it in and so
far seems okay and is actually charging. Will let you know if it begins
again.

Okay its stopped having a fit but the battery usage is TERRIBLE! It seems to be a problem with the latest update so maybe worth a fix your side
