Charge 3 display corrupted

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I’ve purchased 2 Fitbit Charge 3 in a year. The first one worked fine, then out of nowhere black horizontal lines popped up across the screen. Made the screen’s info hard to read. Everyday there were more lines/ the lines were bigger. Suddenly the charge went black, and would not charge anymore. Prior to it  dying it tried

1. soft and hard reset

2. changed the watch face

3. disconnected it from my phone and app and reconnected

4. contacted customer service 3 times about the lines

I purchased another Charge 3 in December and the same things have started to happen. There are black lines across the front, and now it is nearly unreadable

Examples:

1. if it is 10:25 pm, the black lines chop off the top and bottom of the numbers and I can only see the center of the numbers.

2. when I start an exercise, I can not see the calorie count on the top of the screen nor can I see the time doing the exercise at the bottom of the screen.

I’ve been using Fitbit for about 5 years, and I am a fitness instructor who always starts Fitbit challenges and have encourages most of my clients to purchase Fitbit as well. I downgraded to a Fitbit Inspire for now because of simplicity, and not really desiring a big watch (after having the Blaze for two years) but it so discouraging and burning a hole in my pocket buying wearable tech every few months.
