Charge 3 does NOT sync/bluetooth

Disgusted. Charge 3 no longer syncs with iPhone bluetooth; I’ve tried all the suggested “solutions” none worked. Spoke to Fitbit - they know about the issue and asked me to be patient until a fix is developed. P.S. Nice to know Fitbit spent time editing my comments here, yet can’t find us all a solution.

So ... for how long are we customers going to wait for the fix? Fitbit is aware of the problem and asks us to be patient until "the fix" will take care of the problem. We are recommended to this and that and re-start and whatever but is that really good support? If I pay money for an item I don't want to be responsible for the faults in the item and fix them myself. And even though I do all the steps it still won't sync - the 250 steps don't, the battery symbol doesn't, active minutes (my Fitbit is in Swedish so there may be a different name here) don't, and who knows what else. I have given up now. I still use the watch but only for counting steps, I might as well remove the app from my iPhone.

Same problem with everyone else. Not syncing. Tried all the recommended steps and still won't work. I'm not willing to erase all data like someone suggested here in the forum as I need the data for insurance purpose. Bluetooth on my iPhone XS is connected to the HR3 but that is just it. Not syncing, not doing anything else. Come on Fitbit. Get a fix on this quick. This is very frustrating.

Agree- I’m very disappointed at this point. Instead of going for the “new” Charge 3, I probably would have been better off with the older tested model.

None of these steps corrected my problem and I’ve repeated them multiple times.

Hi everyone, hope you are doing well.

I am sorry for the delay in respond and appreciate all the efforts in trying to fix this syncing issue by yourselves.

I would like to know if you have checked if your phones are compatibles? If you haven't, you can check this by taking a look at the help article Which phones and tablets can I use with my Fitbit watch or tracker?. Remember that in order to have a successful connection between your trackers and phones, they need to be compatible.

@Libmt, it's great to hear that your tracker is now syncing, if there is anything else we can help you with, do not hesitate to let us know.

@susanshack@MichaelS9138, @SunsetRunner, @rozyb@Dmkee@Kmercer@Zolevave@NJPH@Rc93@Tuxelina@JackNg, @Gollom72 and @PamS57if you are having issues syncing your Charge 3, I suggest taking a look at the help article Why won't my Fitbit device sync? and follow the instructions provided there.

@Rondaf, if your tracker isn't receiving notifications, you can follow the instructions provided in the help article My Fitbit device isn't receiving notifications from my phone. Just remember that we are moderating this thread for users who can't sync their devices. If you are experiencing other issues or have a feature suggestion or improvement, I encourage you to find a similar thread, check out the feature suggestion board or start a new thread.

Let me know if you need anything else. Smiley Wink

I'm using a computer with Windows 10 on it. It's supposed to be dompatible.

I have tried those suggestions. Last night I left my notifications on in the app and it was trying to sync all night. This prevented my alarm from going off at 5:30 am. Late for work.

I'm one more voice to chime in. My Charge3 is also not syncing with my device - an iPhone 7. It started about 4-5 weeks ago. I have tried the recommendations in the help article "Why won't my Fitbit device sync?" and none of it helped. I don't have another device I can try with.

The issue seems to be that the Charge3 "connects" but it doesn't "sync" - I have discovered that those are two different things.

I have tried unpairing the device and deleting and re-installing the Fitbit app. I did have some difficulty getting the Charge3 to re-pair after doing this (similar to other people's experiences which have been detailed here).

As previously stated, NONE of your “suggestions” work nor are they solutions. When will FitBit address this issue? Do you realize how many people have wasted money on a product that doesn’t work? Please do not bother us with fake solutions until the real one is determined; you and the other moderators are wasting our time.

The problems that we're experiencing are not compatability issues. They're Charge 3 issues.  If something is syncing and then all of a sudden, it stops and doesn't sync on any other device, that's something Fitbit needs to handle.

They sent me a second one and it did the exact same thing. Now they're sending me a third one. I think that's ridiculous and I told him if it happens again we're going to have to find a different recourse or way of correcting the situation cuz I'm tired of it

Our time changed this past sunday. Surprisingly my fitbit had the correct time in the morning, It seems that somehow it synchronized when this happened. Sadly I still can’t pair it after it that day. Today I downloaded an update for the fitbit app and was hoping this error was fixed but not. Still have the same issue

An update to the Fitbit app was pushed to my iPhone this morning, and syncing seems to be working again... for now at least.

The 4/1/19 update that was released still has not solved the issue.  I was syncing all day, then all of a sudden it disconnected from Bluetooth and stopped syncing.
